Alvin Ailey’s coast-to-coast tour connected to the African-American experience takes center stage. Ailey dancer Hope Boykin’s “r-Evolution, Dream.” is inspired by the speeches and sermons of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and  Kyle Abraham’s “Untitled America” shines a spotlight on the impact of the prison system on African-American families. And no Ailey tour would be complete without “Revelations,” Alvin Ailey’s American masterpiece that celebrates the African-American heritage, and is often considered the most widely beloved modern dance work in the world. Ongoing.
