Today is election day in America! Over 98 million people have already cast their ballots during early or absentee voting, according to the US elections project. That number could potentially reach up to 160 million for a 20% plus increase from 2016. That can only happen, though, if you go vote.

Leading up to election day, both presidential candidates focused on the important swing state of Pennsylvania. Trump held a rally near Scranton, while Joe Biden spoke at a canvass launch in Beaver county and visited Pittsburgh for a rally of his own. Kamala Harris, Biden’s running mate, also spoke at a rally in Philadelphia. Both campaigns are looking to PA as a major tipping point in the race, and recent polls have shown Biden leading by roughly five points. Of course, there are also dozens of local and state-wide elections being voted on today — many of which could impact legislation and representation in the years to come.
