Join Syfy Movies With a View for its twelfth season of Thursday-night outdoor films this summer. The series of outdoor screenings at Brooklyn Bridge Park features shorts curated by BAMcinématek and feature films such as Basquiat, Ghostbusters, Rosemary’s Baby and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. DJs from Brooklyn Radio kick off the evening against the stunning backdrop of lower Manhattan and the East River.
If you want to catch some great classic flicks outdoors, but don’t want to trek to the outer boroughs, plop your picnic blanket down at Bryant Park on Monday nights for its free HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival. Launching June 20, the series runs through Aug 22 with screenings of classics like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Cool Hand Luke and Gentleman Prefer Blondes.
