MAC award winner Anne Steele returns to Joe’s Pub for a one-night concert on May 12. This time she’s unplugged and backed by a new band, performing songs from her most recent studio album Strings Attached. Get ready for an dramatic evening of musical twists and turns, incorporating her eclectic tastes. Think a mashup of Robbie Williams and Adele, American standards and Broadway hits.

On Jun 2, Emmy and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth launches her debut world tour at New York City Center. Chenoweth has had an extraordinarily diverse career spanning theater, film and TV; in this rare concert appearance, Chenoweth will perform songs from her latest album Some Lessons Learned, as well as an array of her most memorable songs and Broadway show tunes from Wicked, Promises, Promises and Glee. Chenoweth currently stars as Carlene Cockburn in the funny, sassy and heartwarming drama GCB.

Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone opens the brand new venue 54 Below with a residency Jun 5-16. Backed by a five piece orchestra, LuPone’s all new show will feature a mix of contemporary songs from pop and Broadway and a selection of European cabaret songs from the 1930s. Scheduled for 14 performances only, this is the cabaret season event you won’t want to miss.

Mardi Grant returns to the Duplex stage for her new show, “Life Holds On,” on May 2 and May 12 at 7pm. With selections ranging from Hoagy Carmichael to The Beatles and Trisha Yearwood to Burt Bacharach, you’re in for a night of vocal delights.
