The Very Best of NYC Halloween Events

Village Halloween Parade, NIGHTMARE haunted houses and more…

New Yorkers are often outrageous, creative and scary, but during the annual Village Halloween Parade, they’re actually trying. Ogle the spectacular costumes and menagerie of giant puppets, or participate in the riotous procession of frightful fun at the largest public Halloween celebration in the country. Fight the crowds and score a prime viewing location somewhere on 6th Avenue from Spring Street to 22nd Street from 7–11pm on – you guessed it – Oct 31.

After the parade head over to Theater for the New City for the annual Village Costume Ball. This one-night fiesta takes over all four of TNC’s theater spaces, plus its lobby and most of the block outside. Expect more tha 1,400 costume-clad celebrants to gather for dancing, dining and viewing acts from cabaret and theater’s cutting edge.

Be prepared to be scared as NIGHTMARE returns to possess thrill-seekers, now through Nov 6. Celebrating its seventh year, NIGHTMARE is a unique, fully immersive haunted house experience. Set in an insane asylum, NIGHTMARE: SUPERSTITIONS forces you to break a superstition in one room and suffer the terrible consequences in the next.
