For example, Last Call at the Starliner Lounge is the weekly Wednesday show that features the dazzling stars of Big Apple Burlesque. And if that’s not enough proof for you, Friday and Saturday nights are hosted by the ever-lovable Murray Hill and feature performances by “The Reigning Queen of Burlesque, Miss Exotic World 2008,” Miss Angie Pontani and her renowned troupe, The World Famous Pontani Sisters.
And in other Jewish news, after a successful run with “25 Questions for a Jewish Mother,” lesbian comic Judy Gold is back for another one-woman show at Joe’s Pub on Mar 20, called “Judy Gold is Mommy Queerest.” The show is a no-holds-barred look at the comedian’s own life, taking on her mother’s nagging, mothering two boys, gay marriage, anti-depressants and everything in between.
