Kiki & Herb stunned Broadway audiences with the astonishing revelation that they were in fact present in the manger for the birth of Jesus. Now, they celebrate the events of that fateful night in their one-night only performance: Kiki & Herb: The Second Coming—A Christmas Concert, Dec 12 at Carnegie Hall. Kiki & Herb will embark on a night of darkness and pagan drama, taking the audience on a musical odyssey with songs by The Tiger Lillies, Kanye West, Nina Simone and more. They will also deliver their own twisted take on traditional Christmas fare leaving the audience with a rousing dose of holiday cheer.

German-born cabaret legend Ute Lemper takes up a residency at Joe’s Pub Nov 19–Dec 1 with her show Angels Over Berlin and Paris. Lemper’s sophisticated repertoire—including Berlin cabaret songs and the dark gems of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill—have led her to international acclaim as a recording artist and in the theatre, cabaret and film worlds. Follow Lemper as she takes on the French song world from Ferre, Piaf to Prevert and Brel and continues to the backstreets of Berlin, where ancient ghosts with new faces write poetry and songs between yesterday and tomorrow.

Catch a spectacular cabaret celebration of feminist and queer performance in Wow and Now, at Joe’s Pub Nov 10. Hosted by Nao Bustamente and Karen Finley, Wow and Now in part celebrates the Wow Cafe and its lasting and pivotal contributions to performance art. The star-studded night of deviant song, dance and general hilarity will feature work by downtown legends and sensational up and coming performers and including Lois Weaver, Peggy Shaw, Carmelita Tropicana, Holly Hughes, Dynasty Handbag, My Barbarian and Kalup Linzy.

Also on Nov 10, party and show Victoria debuts at the historic Stonewall Inn. Raven Snook, Queens Marie, Darlinda Just Darlinda and Sequinette will take revelers on an exploration of gender expression through FTF (female-to-female) performances. Members of Boston-based drag king troupe All the King’s Men will be on hand to perform and serve complimentary shots. Participants in the free style stations—including hair, makeup and clothing makeovers—will be entered in a best-dressed faux queen contest. Come dressed to the nines and, regardless of your gender, wear some femininity on your sequined sleeves.

Corio Supper Club’s new weekly revue, This Is Burlesque, runs throughout Nov. This is Burlesque is a bawdy and bodacious stage show featuring a bevy of beauties, singers, swinging music, with plenty of strip teasing from the ladies. The show stars legendary host and renowned comedian Murray Hill; the Italian Stallionette and reigning Miss Cyclone Angie Pontani; the tapping tornado Helen Pontani; the delinquent darling of burlesque, the fastest tassel twirler from east to west Peekaobo Pointe; The World Famous Pontani Sisters; the sultry songstress Melody Sweets and more!
