Stockholm Syndrome: Lesbian Wins Lawsuit Against Kennel Owner

A Swedish lesbian won her lawsuit against a kennel owner who refused to sell her a puppy because she was a lesbian.

A Swedish lesbian won her lawsuit against a kennel owner who refused to sell her a puppy because she was a lesbian. According to Agence France-Presse, the court of appeals in Stockholm awarded Smila Bergstroem $3,100, or 20,000 kronor, on Feb 11 for “discrimination in the form of harassment.”

Bergstroem claimed that when she contacted a kennel in the suburbs of Stockholm about a puppy advertised for sale, she told Annette Sjoeholm, the kennel owner, that she lived with another woman. Sjoeholm, who put an end to the sale, allegedly said that she did not trust gay people and that she had read that transvestites were known to sexually abuse animals.
