Weekly Horoscopes for Queer Women: Solar Eclipse and New Beginnings

The solar eclipse, being a new moon, will have to do with new beginnings.

Weekly Horoscopes for Queer Women | Monday, August 21

There’s a lot of astrological activity going on this week, the most famous of which is the solar eclipse on Monday, conjoint Donald Trump’s ascendant. Because this eclipse conjuncts Uranus, something unexpected will occur. The solar eclipse, being a new moon, will have to do with new beginnings. This period between the lunar eclipse and the solar one has been especially intense, with what is going on in Charlottesville. It is likely that this solar eclipse will evolve this same situation.

The sun enters Virgo right after the eclipse. This point, between Leo and Virgo, is where the royal fixed star Regulus sits. Regulus is about restoration and it’s arch angel about healing. Regulus asks us to heal something in ourselves but it’s restorative powers also ask us to put something back in the way that it used to be. Our main conflict right now is in the different ways that we define Regulus and this act of restoration and perpetuation.

As Venus enters Leo, Saturn also moves out of it’s retrograde station. For the first time since April, Saturn is moving forward again, about to leave Sagittarius for Capricorn. Our limitations, boundaries, and divisions, until now, have been ideological. In Capricorn, the work that we will have to do is not necessarily political anymore but about the material world. We will be ready to organize now, consider our resources, and what is most necessary in our lives to move forward, alway keeping in mind that survival is the only security possible.

(These horoscopes are more accurate if you look at your rising sign, sun sign, and moon sign! If you don’t know your time of birth, sun and moon signs are fine.)
