For fans of: melodic duets, tortured love, processing
Out frontwoman Romy Madley Croft leads her trio in their continued success with “I See You,” the xx’s third full-length LP. Fans who loved the English group’s first two albums will find comfort in their consistency, and new listeners will see themselves seduced by Romy and Oliver Sim’s trading off vocal roles and trademark mix of bass beats and delicate guitar lines. These are love songs for every kind of scenario, and some are surely inspired by Romy’s love (and new fiancee), Hannah Marshall. Can’t miss tracks include single “Say Something Loving,” “Lips,” and “I Dare You.”
