Destiny is something that often feels out of our hands because it really shows itself when what we want clashes with reality. This week, those clashes happen. With Mars and Sun square Uranus, we’re resisting politically, particularly against liberal ideas. We might feel a little stupid or a little childlike but only because we’re coming from a place that matters. And it will be especially hard to keep in mind that who we are and what we’re saying matters.
The Sun enters Leo right before the Moon joins it. Mercury and North Node also conjoin in the Lion. This gives us an opportunity to get to know what makes us genuine. Leo comes after Cancer because it is the child who resists all the structures it has inherited. It refuses to call itself by anything other than its own name. Now that we’ve spent some time learning what makes us entangled in one another, we give ourselves the agency we need to tell a new story.
As the Moon halves and shrinks until the intention setting New Moon, we’re letting go of whatever it was we explored during this year’s Cancer season. The lesson has passed. The only way for it to become whole is for us to exercise the most powerful memory tool there is—that of forgetting.
