DANIELLE PRESENTS A VEGAS BIRTHDAY BASH @ RF LOUNGE

Put on your poker face, chickpeas. Our favorite partier-about-town is at it again, spicing things up at RF Lounge. Every first Saturday, Danielle Presents a different theme night. Last month’s exotic Bollywood party showed us a little culture, and by that we mean hot belly dancing. Now she’s upping the ante – on Dec 5th she’ll be celebrating her birthday Vegas style! Perky showgirls will provide the eye candy for your viewing pleasure while DJ Stacy churns out the jams. Whether your game is roulette or black jack, you’re sure to get lucky. We can’t play for cash – that’s against the law, kids – but you just might walk away with some free drinks and a few numbers. So get ready to go bluffin’ with your muffin and keep updated on the monthly themes by checking the listings for details.

BEAST FUNDRAISER

Last month, Daji, the beloved beast of Beast Restaurant, was vicious- ly attacked by two pit bulls at doggie daycare. Though she miraculously survived, Daji’s multiple surgeries and daily vet visits have racked up a serious medical bill. Come support this pup’s fight for life at Beast on Dec 12. Live music by Dolly Trolly and Amelia starts at 3pm, with a silent auction featuring the awesome creations of local artists. Enter the raffle for a chance to win gift cards to cool local shops and special open bar bracelets. Later, enjoy scrumptious drink specials available at the bar all night and feel good doing it since all proceeds go towards Daji’s bills and the establishment of a fund in her name for injured dogs. The vets have never seen a dog survive such a traumatic attack, so let’s meet Daji halfway – we need our furry friends, and they need us too. Get over to Beast and show the love.

RETURN OF THE LAID PARTY @ SOUTHPAW

Ever since the Laid Party went on hiatus after Pride, times have been tough. You’ve been sitting at home, trying to perfect your vegan cup- cake recipes and counting the days until the next episode of True Blood. Well, wake up, girls! Laid is back! On Nov 21, Sarah FM is bringing this scandalous dance party back to its old stomping ground, Southpaw. Hip hop and R&B spins from renown DJs Noa D and Roze Royze will have you dancing in the dark, and I don’t mean like Bruce Springsteen. The drinks are cheap, the sound system is premium, and those rumors you’ve heard about the dirty photo booth contest making a comeback? They just may be true. And, past Laid parties have given proceeds to the New York City AIDS Housing Network, Right Rides, and Wedia, a citizen’s journalism group dedicated to covering underreported stories – just one more reason to go get your freak on.
