Mary Trump To Join LPAC Board of Directors

“We will only create lasting and systemic change for progressive values if we increase the number of diverse players in power, and that includes LGBTQ women.”

Mary Trump, the lesbian niece of the former president, has joined the Board of Directors for LPAC, a political action committee dedicated to electing queer women to office.

“Mary Trump has demonstrated thought leadership, media and political savvy over the last year as she has stormed the country with her insights and opinions,” said LPAC Board Chair Laura Ricketts in a statement released on the organization’s website. “We couldn’t be more excited to have her join us in building the power of our political action community and developing the next generation of LGBTQ women leaders.”

In the statement, Trump expressed her excitement at working with the organization, stating that “We will only create lasting and systemic change for progressive values if we increase the number of diverse players in power, and that includes LGBTQ women.”

Mary Trump arrived on the national stage last year with the publication of her best-selling book, “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man,” a tell-all portrait of her uncle, and of the Trump family.

LPAC, which was founded in 2012, endorses and invests in progressive candidates who support social justice, women’s equality and women’s health, with a specific focus on electing LGBTQ+ women to office. Among the candidates they are currently endorsing are Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Virginia State Representative Danica Roem, who are both up for re-election.
