Singer and daughter of legendary Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away yesterday evening. She was 54.
TMZ reported that paramedics were called to her California home Thursday afternoon for possible cardiac arrest. Priscilla Presley shared the news of Lisa Marie’s passing in a statement to People on Thursday night.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
On Tuesday night, Presley had attended the Golden Globes in support of Austin Butler, who won Best Actor in a Drama for his portrayal of her father in the film Elvis. Butler acknowledged Lisa Marie in his acceptance speech, saying, “I love you forever.”
She is survived by her mother and by her three daughters.
