“I’m so excited to finally announce that I am partnering with @byshondaland and @iheartradio for my very first podcast, ‘The Laverne Cox Show,'” Cox writes. “The Laverne Cox Show will feature intimate conversations that I hope will expand our consciousness and get us closer to becoming the very best versions of ourselves. I hope you’ll join me in February on this journey I want us to go on together.”

The podcast, which Deadline reports will debut in February, “is intimate, thought-provoking, and will inspire listeners, guests, and Laverne to become the best versions of themselves,” according to Cox’s Instagram post. “The Laverne Cox Show” is the latest podcast from Rhimes’ company, which also produces “You Down? with Obama’s Other Daughters,” “Go Ask Ali” with Ali Wentworth, true-crime series “Criminalia,” as well as a slew of upcoming scripted shows.

“Laverne Cox is a one-of-a-kind talent and we are so excited that our Shondaland Audio division provides us the opportunity to continue our relationship with her,” Shondaland Chief Design and Digital Media Officer Sandie Bailey said in a press release. “We all know her onscreen talents and her role as a producer, but this show affords Laverne the opportunity to produce something very personal. She’s clearly interested in engaging her listeners and herself in ways she hasn’t before. And we’re committed to supporting her in doing just that.”

“The Laverne Cox Show” comes as Cox is set to star in Rhimes’ upcoming Netflix Series about New York con artist Anna Delvey. The actress will portray Kacy Duke, a fitness trainer for celebrities who worked closely with Delvey and who tried to stage an intervention for her at one time. Cox can also be seen in the upcoming film “Promising Young Women” alongside Carey Mulligan (“The Great Gatsby,” “An Education”), Bo Burnham (“Eighth Grade”), and Alison Brie (“GLOW,” “Community”).

“I’m thrilled to be continuing and expanding my relationship with Shondaland by doing my first podcast with Shonda’s amazing team along with iHeartRadio,” Cox said in the press release. “I can’t wait for everyone to hear the incredibly interesting conversations I have had with my guests.”
