Forget the bows and the blonde ponytail – JoJo Siwa has a swaggy new look.
Siwa, who came out as part of the queer community last year, posted a video on Instagram of herself in a hair-styling session on Thursday, with the caption, “Mayyyyy have done something todayyyy.”
In the video, Siwa smiles-screams as her ponytail is sheared.

In a subsequent post, we see the results of her makeover: a short blonde ‘do, complete with undercut and sweep-over.

Siwa came out to fans in January of 2021, and soon after announced that she was in a relationship with Kylie Prew. The couple has since split up.
Additionally, Siwa made history last year when she appeared on Dancing With the Stars paired with professional Jenna Johnson. They were the first same-sex couple to compete on the American version of the show.
Siwa recently revealed on the podcast Rachel Uncensored that she is no longer single, but did not announce the name of her new partner. Speaking of her new flame at the GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday, Siwa told Extra that she is “really lucky that I’m loved unconditionally, too, by this human and she is awesome,” adding, “I’m very, very happy. It feels good and it feels right.”
