Jane Lynch Thanks Wife After Emmy Win

Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series goes to….

We think next year we’re going to have to move Jane Lynch up on our list of 100 Women We Love, and not just because she won her first Emmy Award last night.

Upon the announcement she won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series she kissed her wife and walked up to the podium in her floor length, off the shoulder purple dress.

”I love being an actor among actors. I love being part of an ensemble. I rarely identify as anything…. But I am an actor. And just like a lot of you out there, we do it because we’re compelled to. We have no other choice or marketable skills….  I want to thank my lord and creator, Ryan Murphy, for creating this role of a lifetime…. And I love you, my wife. Laura, and my little girl. Hayden. God bless!”

Lynch married her wife, Dr. Lara Embry, on May 31, 2010 at the Blue Heron Restaurant in Sunderland, Massachusetts. Embry herself received much publicity surrounding a custody battle over two children with her former partner who gave birth to her other child.
