GO Congratulates Mariah Hanson of The Dinah

The founder of Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend will be honored for her visionary leadership and contributions to the LGBT community.

Please join us in congratulating Mariah Hanson for being honored with two amazing awards.

On October 10, Hanson will be honored by the Greater Palm Springs Pride Organization with the “The Spirit of Stonewall Lifetime Achievement Award” as part of the 2014 Palm Springs Pride celebration. On November 7, she will receive The Center’s first-ever LEGACY Award for her invaluable contribution to the Coachella Valley LGBT community in Palm Springs.

Hanson is being honored for her visionary leadership as the founder of one of the Coachella Valley’s largest tourism boosters and undisputed biggest lesbian event of its kind in the world, the legendary Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend, a/k/a “The Dinah”. For the past 25 years, her incredible accomplishment with The Dinah has continuously created a viable platform for the advancement of the LGBT community.

Transforming lives and making a difference in and for the LGBT community, The Dinah offers an unparalleled one-of-a-kind experience for tens of thousands of women who come from all over the world to enjoy the freedom to be who they truly are without fearing the judgment of others, and gain, as well, a tremendous amount of self worth.

We are excited to see one of the most important contributors to our community get these two well-deserved awards.

Congrats, Mariah!
