Scissor Sundays at The Rusty Knot
JD Samson of MEN (and late of Le Tigre) helms this extra-fun tea dance at The Rusty Knot, the new tiki bar-slash-gay club in the far West Village. Go ahead and sip your $5 Tecate and lime while watching the barges float serenely down the river through the Rusty Knot’s floor-to-ceiling windows. (Hint: amazing sunsets.) The mixed LGBT party attracts a hefty majority of lesbians, so flirt to your heart’s content. The $2 shots—there’s no telling what will be on special when, so just go with the flow—will certainly make chatting up a stranger easier. Land ho!

ACE Saturdays at Lexicon
We just can’t quit Whitney Day, the Energizer Bunny of New York’s queer DJs. Not content to sit on her laurels leading the Wednesday after-work soiree Glossy, she recently launched the new Saturday night blowout Ace at the Midtown club Lexicon. The creative list of drink specials has our head spinning: cheap-o beer, wine and cocktails at different hours of the night, straight through ‘til close. (If you see us checking our watches, don’t be insulted.) Whitney provides the party mix accompanied by special guest DJs and go-go beauties for the total lesbian club experience.

That Party at Chelsea Manor, Feb 17
Y’know, that party—the one where the best Fire Island DJs duke it out with NYC’s finest turntablists and raise some much-needed cash to restore Fire Island! It’s also the venerable LGBT bar Cubbyhole’s first-ever dance party and the first party that Cherry’s on the Bay, the famed Fire Island LGBT bar, has ever hosted on the mainland. DJ Susan Levine and DJ Bill Coleman provide the New York-flavored tunes, while bartending and door staff from Cherry’s and Cubbyhole will make sure you’re taken care of. It will be a rager—but the best part is that a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Dune Fund to help rebuild the landscape destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Drink up and do your part!

Vintage at 49 Grove, Feb 10 and Mar 10
It’s Sunday, and you can’t decide whether you want to wind down your weekend or rev it up for one last gasp before the work week. At Vintage, a sophisticated monthly tea dance, you can do both depending on your mood. The intimate space, lined with tufted sofas and banquets, is great for lounging with a vodka cocktail during open bar from 4-5pm. DJ Stacy spins a blend of the latest pop and retro disco that lives up to the party’s name and gets the girls out on the dance floor. Plus, a cut of the proceeds goes to benefit SAGE, Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders.

Fiery at AOA Lounge, Feb 16
It’s freezing outside, but Jenny J Soiree and Danielle Presents will ramp up the sizzle in your President’s Day Weekend. Joining forces for the first time, these two promoting powerhouses present Fiery at AOA Lounge, the same TriBeCa bar and lounge where GO hosted its New Year’s Eve Spectacular. DJ Stacy will helm the DJ booth while Michelle Nivert of Stonewall slings drinks—including 52 beers on tap over two bars. Enjoy a tapas menu, $6 beer specials, table service and the company of hundreds of New York’s most fabulous females. Remember, the following Monday is a holiday—and this brand-new event will set your Saturday night on fire.

Lesbo-a-Go-Go at Stonewall
While Sir Sabrina, the regular Lesbo-a-Go-Go promoter and drinks-slinger, is following her bliss in Australia for the time being, Stonewall’s long-running Friday-night lez-a-thon is still going strong. Home of the cheapest drinks and most up-for-it crowd on the lesbian landscape, Stonewall is the place to be for high-energy debauchery. DJ Kristine and DJ Stacy throw down house, hip hop, Top 40, pop anthems and surprise tracks; Poppi and Michelle dole out the liquid courage. All this, plus smokin’ go-go girls. Come on now, don’t be shy!

girlNATIONnyc at M Lounge, MAR 2
Mark your calendars, ladies—the epic relaunch of the legendary party girlNATIONnyc takes place March 2 at a gorgeous new space! By popular demand, Hana has moved the Saturday event downtown to TriBeCa, the nascent lesbian nightlife hub, and found the party’s new home at M Lounge by Megu. The Japanese-themed boite, part of the award-winning Megu restaurant family, pairs sophisticated décor inspired by Asian decorative arts with potent cocktails and nonstop music by DJ Culi. Surprise guest dancers, free signature shots and gorgeous women are recreating the classic girlNATIONnyc vibe in the new venue. Hana promises additional drink specials and VIP bottle service to celebrate the grand re-opening. Don’t miss it!

Sunday Brunch at The Dalloway
As the Dalloway continues to roll out its weekly event calendar, Sunday brunch at the white-hot lezzie-laden restaurant caught our eye. After a ragin’ night in the Village, recover with a table full of artfully prepared small plates. The menu features new American bistro classics with a twist, like Dalloway sliders with Cheddar cheese and fried quail egg, accompanied by a pile of shoe string onion rings. Wash your grub down with a specialty cocktail, like an updated bloody Mary with tomato vodka. We feel better already.

Hot Rabbit
No, it’s not a speakeasy, but you will need the password to get into Hot Rabbit at the Monster on Friday nights. (Hint: It’s on the party’s Facebook page) Boy Wonder Events is upping the ante with occasional theme nights—and Feb 8 celebrates Fashion Week with a stylish ode to couture, sponsored by the website DapperQ. Expect haute queers dressed to the nines plus DJ Average Jo on the decks. The following week, the party welcomes DJs Ali Ramos and Char Johnson from the lezzie hip hop duo Zebra Baby. Come see why Hot Rabbit was nominated as the Best Reason to Leave Brooklyn by the 2012 Brooklyn Nightlife Awards!
