According to its description, the show “explores the world through the eyes of a hilarious and unpredictable seven-year-old Ellen DeGeneres.”

Although she might be leaving her daytime television show next year, Ellen DeGeneres already has a new show ready to premier this month.

“Little Ellen,” an animated kids’ series, is scheduled to premiere September 13 on Cartoonito, a series of networks that feature programming for preschool-age children. According to it’s description on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), the show “explores the world through the eyes of a hilarious and unpredictable seven-year-old Ellen DeGeneres.” It will take place in the comedian’s hometown, New Orleans.

A trailer released over the summer depicted a scene from the new series in which Ellen attempts to teach a macaw how to dance in the hopes of winning him new friends.

DeGeneres announced last spring that she was ending her long-running talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” after 19 years. The show, which first aired in 2003, will have featured over 3,000 episodes and 2,400 celebrity interviews by the time it wraps in 2022. The announcement came following accusations of a toxic work environment on set. DeGeneres has denied those allegations, and has said they did not factor into her decision to end the popular show.

The final episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is scheduled to air on May 11 of next year.
