Set your DVRs, ladies! Or, better yet, host a viewing party for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards airing on NBC on Jan 10. Controversial cut-up Ricky Gervais will return as host (And you have to wonder: Are the producers just gluttons for punishment?) The Globes honor the very best in film and television, and Carol tops the list of nominees for this year.

Freeheld comes to DVD and Blu-ray on Feb 2. Starring Julianne Moore and Ellen Page, Freeheld is the true story of a NJ police lieutenant and her legal domestic partner who try to secure pension benefits after the cop’s terminal cancer diagnosis. For those of you who missed the film in theaters, here’s your chance to see it in the comfort of your own home.

The 43rd Annual Dance on Camera Festival, co-presented with Dance Films Association, screens an exciting and diverse array of documentaries, features, shorts, experimental works and music videos that integrate dance with cinematography in inventive ways, selected by the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Screenings run from Feb 12-16.
