The Very Best of NYC Dance

Swan Lake, Dancers Responding to AIDS and much more

Calling all dance lovers! Show your support for Ailey’s annual program to benefit Dancers Responding to AIDS. A portion of all ticket sales benefit this worthy organization. This spectacular all-new program at New York City Center on Dec 17 includes the company premiere of Paul Taylor’s Piazzolla Caldera, set to Astor Piazzolla’s tango music.

Continuing a storied relationship that began with the beloved company’s BAM premiere in 1976, Trisha Brown Dance Company returns to BAM Jan 30-Feb 2 with two intense programs, including a radiant suite from Rameau’s opera Pygmalion.

Deeply influenced by her South African heritage, dancer and choreographer Dada Masilo’s fiery, passionate work merges classic and contemporary dance forms. Her reimagining of Swan Lake at the Joyce Theater in Chelsea is stunning and powerfully moving—not to be missed. See it from Feb 2-7 in a series of evening performances.
