As part of Central Park’s SummerStage series, the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater presents a night of free comedy and music on July 19. New York’s best up-and-coming comedians play their trade under the stars at renowned venue Rumsey Playfield in a special evening featuring UCB’s stand-up whiz Rebecca Drysdale as well as Human Giant (Aziz Ansari, Rob Huebel, and Paul Scheer), The Defibulators, and many surprise guests.

The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater is pleased to announce OBSESSED With Julie And Jackie: The Gay Pride Edition, June 14. Best friends, comedy partners, and mother-daughter duo Julie Klausner and Jackie Clarke present an evening of comedy that would make Bob Fosse roll over in his grave. Join these stunning visionaries in this gay-fabulous event as they deconstruct ‘80s soap stars, Joey Buttafuco
and Amy Fisher, and the benefit of solving any problem with a dance-off.

Comedic community favorite Julie Goldman stays busy this summer with a new solo work-in-progress, Julie Goldman Pre-Emptive Strike, at Culture Project as part of the Women Center Stage Festival July 6. Goldman looks at how far we haven’t come in the last few years and so drops a “pre-emptive strike” on everything false, hypocritical, and annoying in her latest comedy rant-tastic. Also catch Goldman at Mo Pitkin’s on July 12 in Offensive Women—Because We’re Alive, as she hosts a new comedy showcase featuring stand up women including Rachel Feinstein, Bernadette Pauley, Irene Bremis, Lavinia Draper, and Kate McKinnon.
