“One of the most important elements in a successful relationship is making sure her parents love you,” says Lori. Maria and Lori met at an HRC dinner gala in 2005. “Maria gave me her business card and in typical lesbian fashion,” says Lori, “we went out on a first date and never looked back.” The couple loves travel, photography, SCUBA diving, good food and being surrounded by their friends. “It’s important to know when to laugh, when to cry, when to listen and definitely to know when to say you’re sorry.”
