Humor keeps this self-styled “odd couple” together; that and a mutual interest in documentaries and scrabble. Kristi and Corinn met in the park during Pride weekend in 2005. They fell for each other at a rooftop party later that night. No one in their respective circles thought their Pride hook-up would last, but almost four years later they are looking to buy a house together. Corinn describes the key to success in their relationship as a willingness to let go of their personal egos and accept one another entirely as they are. “I think the secret is respecting each other’s differences and not trying to change each other,” says Corinn.
