GO’s Publisher Makes The List

GO Magazine Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Amy Lesser was named one of POWER UP’s 2007 Ten Amazing Gay Women in Entertainment. Lesser founded GO Magazine in 2002 to “fill the void” in male-dominated LGBT media. Lesser, pictured above (left) with partner Mardi Grant, hoped to provide a resource for women, by women that would celebrate lesbians making a difference in the arts, entertainment, politics and business. Today, GO is the nation’s most widely-read free lesbian publication. To date, more than 1,500,000 copies have been distributed throughout the country. Lesser has also been honored by Stonewall Democrats for her support of women in politics, and by Team New York for her commitment to the LGBT athletic community. GO Amy!
