5 Lesbian Things To Do In New Orleans This Weekend

Yoga, winter formals, arcade games.

Another rainy, cloudy weekend, but that’s no excuse to ignore these five lesbian events in New Orleans!

Saturday

TGNC Nerds at the Arcade! at Adventure Quest Laser Tag (1200 S. Clearview Pkwy Suite 1106 in Elmwood, LA) at 8 p.m. — A night of laser tag, bumper cars, mini-golf, and arcade games for trans and gender non-conforming folks.

The Winter Formal at The Twilight Room at the Allways Lounge & Cabaret (2240 St. Claude Ave.) at 8 p.m. — Dress up with your cutie and head to the winter formal at this queer-friendly bar, with seasonal music performances. Sliding scale tickets.

Krewe of Full Bush Presents: Mullet Prom at Mimi’s in the Marigny (2601 Royal St.) at 9 p.m. — Prom, but make it mullet-tastic. Krewe of Full Bush is a “hair-positive parading group” and this event will feature a talent show and photobooth to add to the retro prom vibes.

Sunday

Queer Jai at Swan River Yoga Arabi Community Center (7011 St. Claude Ave. #213 in Arabi, LA) at 1 p.m. — A monthly yoga event for anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. Tea, yoga, discussion. Donation based. No experience (or a yoga mat) required.

“The L Word” & “Work In Progress” at The LGBT Community Center of New Orleans (2727 S. Broad Ave.) at 5:30 p.m. — Now you can watch both of Showtime’s lesbian/queer series in a row! Latest episodes will be shown, BYOB and potluck.
