Friday

RuPaul’s Drag Race Viewing Party at Kajun’s Pub (2256 St. Claude Ave.) at 7 p.m. — Every Friday, this queer-friendly karaoke bar hosts a viewing party for season 12 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Enjoy the drink specials, drag queen commentary, and live performances, then stay afterwards to do some performing of your own.

Identity; a Trans+ Meet Up at The Drifter Hotel (3522 Tulane Ave.) at 7 p.m. — Trans+ is a new community group for trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming folks and people who love ‘em. This is their inaugural event, featuring music, food, vendors, a clothing swap, haircuts, and more.

Femme Church at Hotel Peter & Paul (2317 Burgundy St.) at 7 p.m. — Every last Friday of the month, Femme Church brings some of the best femme musicians in the city to Hotel Peter & Paul, a former church that is now a swanky venue. This edition features BRIDE (Nessa), who makes “peculiar synth pop.” Suggested donation $10 to $20.

Jock Strap Lube Wrestling at The Allways Lounge & Cabaret (2240 St. Claude Ave.) at 11 p.m. — Another edition of jock strap lube wrestling! Drag performances by Queen Qwan and Puddin Tain, with the wrestling by audience participants at midnight. The prize is $100 cash.

Saturday

Circ’Lesque Leap Day Cabaret at Carnaval Lounge (2227 St. Claude Ave.) at 9 p.m. — What better way to celebrate Leap Day than with some circus-themed cabaret? The line-up features burlesque performers Eros Sea, Phoenix Rose, Kat Calico, Clay Mazing, Acrodite, Betsy Propane, Darling Darla James, and Xena Zeit-Geist.
