5 Lesbian Things To Do In Denver This Weekend

From sports to voguing, there’s something for everyone in this week’s roundup of Denver lesbian events.

Friday

Pisces Season Pop Up Dance Party at Blush & Blu (1526 E. Colfax Ave.) at 8 p.m. — Because sometimes you just gotta throw an impromptu queer dance party at Blush & Blu, and Pisces Season is the perfect occasion. $5 suggested donation.

Saturday

Queer Sewing 101 at Boulder Public Library (1001 Arapohoe Ave.) at 10 a.m. — Queer Asterisk, a queer nonprofit, is hosting this intimate sewing class for beginners at the Boulder Library Makerspace. You’ll learn the basics and make a simple project, and you can also get help with any home projects you want to work on. $10 suggested donation.

GDASA Women’s Softball Mixer at Blush & Blu (1526 E. Colfax Ave.) at 3 p.m. — Sporty Denver queers, where ya at? The Greater Denver Area Sports Association has a womens softball league, and they’re hosting this mixer at Denver’s beloved lesbian bar so folks can learn more about the league and mingle with current members.

Bent and Unsupervised Improv at The Walnut Room (3131 Walnut St.) at 7 p.m. — Bent and Unsupervised are two all-LGBTQ+ improv comedy groups in the Denver area, and they’re coming together for a night full of queer improv! Tickets are $10 to $15.

A Mini KiKi Ball at Gladys: The Nosy Neighbor (500 Santa Fe Dr.) at 10 p.m. — Denver KiKi Sessions presents this mini kiki ball (a voguing competition)! Categories include face, virgin runway, virgin vogue, body, and tag team. No house affiliation will be enforced, and anyone can walk any category.
