Stephanie and Taylor were both working on the same wing of a children’s hospital when they crossed paths during the summer of 2013. They have been together for four years, and have weathered struggles that makes their love stronger. Stephanie comes from a very conservative Mexican family and they were not accepting of her and Taylor’s relationship.

“She had to battle through the depression and shame of being rejected. It was tough on our relationship but in the end, it just made our love for one another stronger,” Taylor says. She went on to say, “My favorite thing about Stephanie is her soul. But I don’t love her soul for the things it does, I love it for the things that it doesn’t do — judge people, be afraid of things she can’t control, be pessimistic or fearful about her dreams, give up.” Stephanie had an equally beautiful thing to say about Taylor, “Whether it’s by showing kindness or by picking up trash as she hikes along a trail, she just makes the world a better place to live in.”

The secret to their relationship is communication and working on themselves individually through therapy. In five years, they hope to be living a simplistic lifestyle, abroad, drinking cheap wine and falling even more madly in love with each other.
