Creating a business venture with your life partner isn´t for everyone, but Rainie Cole and Cindi Creager wouldn´t have it any other way. Their 2008 marriage and their diverse professional experience may be the reasons their media relations company, CreagerCole Communications, is thriving. Creager, a longtime journalist and media trainer, has held leadership positions with GLAAD and the NYC Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, in which she helped shape the message of the national LGBT movement. Cole´s background is in theater, cabaret and television production; she co-wrote, produced and starred in the critically acclaimed show Always, Patsy Cline. Creager and Cole offer a unique skill set in media performance, message development and news placement to their clients who include local businesses as well as national LGBT nonprofits. ″I moved to New York City to be a singer/actress [and] I found that one of my best skills at the time was how to promote myself. Now—through CreagerCole Communications—I´m having fun trying to make things happen for other people,″ says Cole. Adds Creager, ″I am passionate about making people feel respected and valued…That´s probably why PR is a natural fit for me. I have a strong desire to lift people up and empower them to be their best.″
