The beloved Fresh Fruit Festival returns Jul 6-19 to The Wild Project (and other venues) to celebrate LGBTQ arts and culture. During this critically acclaimed annual festival, attendees can look forward to a diverse array of artistic expression including plays, dance performances, cabaret showcases, spoken word programs and film screenings. All Out Arts presents the festival “to celebrate the LGBTQ community’s unique perspective, creativity and diversity, and to build links between the LGBTQ artistic communities, be they local or international.”
Community fave and award-winning comedian Marga Gomez is headlining the 24th Annual HOT! Festival at Dixon Place with Pound, a hilarious new show about her journey to a cloud-based lesbian Bermuda Triangle where famous fictional lesbians come to life. Need we say more? The bad news is there are only six performances from Jul 10 thru 25. When you go to see Pound, be sure to hang out for a while. The Dixon Place Lounge is open before and after the show.
