100 Women We Love Class of 2010

As the first decade of the new millennium comes to an end, we take a moment to celebrate 100 out lesbians who have made the past year one of inspiring change and amazing progress.

Seraphin Hedges and Lisa Tusay

Dedicated to promoting queer artists, Seraphin Hedges and Lisa Tusay cleverly combined their first names and founded PhinLi Bookings, LLC, after years of working in the mainstream entertainment industry and corporate marketing, respectively. “We have both spent our lives in environments where we’ve been classified as ‘other.’ It’s our dream that in the future all of our desires will be celebrated in a world that looks beyond labels, stereotypes and prejudice and sees us as what we are: people,” Hedges says. PhinLi’s roster includes some of the most influential, sex-positive LGBTQIA artists working today, bringing their work to universities, pride festivals and conferences everywhere. “Everyone we represent, is, in their own way, working towards transforming our current society into one where we are appreciated, not vilified, for our differences,” Tusay says. -CB
